GCAA (Government College Athletic Association)
President Barrack Obama warned in the Election of 2008 he planned on tampering with NCAA Football Bowl Champion Series (BCS). It is an obviously flawed system and I personally believe we NEED a playoff system. I’m tired of all the crying and bragging of idiots who think they know football. Do we really need the United States Federal Government to step in? Looks like our Democratic Congress is making its first slow move against the NCAA.
The President let it be known last fall he would do this. Then we get liberal sports commentators from the SEC on CBS calling for a College Football Czar to exact “equal” punishments. See, this is how liberals do things-its somehow to establish equality or justice. Name a college that doesn’t receive government aid in some form or another in the NCAA. I can see some sort of Collegiate Athletic Civil Rights Bill established that would supervise the use of federal funds in sports and given the individual that runs this program, a Czar, the ability to cut federal funding if “certain criteria” weren’t met or adhered to. It would all be done under the guise of helping the underrepresented athlete (which happens to be predominately minorities). Of course, this will take some sort of tax on high earners who attend colleges to justify the unequal opportunities of the athlete. After all, they just had to get a scholarship through sports to simply be where the advantaged middle and upper class students have access. BOOM! Government owned football.
Extreme? Going to far? Yea…a college football Czar isn’t? Liberals…they want to control it all!
Read on on liberal sports hosts of CBS call for a College Football Czar…
Sports Commentators are, like their peers in the mainstream news, a very liberal group. NCAA Football shows on Saturdays and NFL Shows are filled with liberal hosts. Spencer Tillman. Tillman is co-host on the SEC on CBS. Tillman and host, Tim Brando, are known for their very liberal comments and views. Tillman went over the top on November 7, 2009 and confirmed the fact that President Barrack Obama plans on controlling NCAA Football. What did he say??? Read on…
Spencer Tillman Tim Brando
When Obama was elected president he was asked if he was asked what he thought of the BCS for NCAA Football. He is no fan of the system, nor am I. In an interview on November 18, 2008 (and he has reiterated this in later interviews) the president said this:
“We should be creating a playoff system…I’m going to throw my weight around a little bit…”.
Now, following the president over the past 10 months we have seen him really “throw his weight around” in a lot of areas-especially his socialized healthcare “Obamacare.” The president’s appointments of “Czars” tend to be a fuzzy area for most people who are not real familiar with history/politics. Czar was the name given to the kings of Russia (Czar meaning Ceaser, king, etc). The Russian Czars ruled with absolute, total power and answered to no one. They were judge, jury and executioner. Our presidents have appointed people to positions to oversee certain programs and have been bestowed the title of Czar (for example, there is a “Drug Czar” which is a military officer that runs the War on Drugs in Latin America. Since the president is the Commander-in-Chief the Drug Czar answers to him). FDR and Bush ‘41 had the largest numbers with 12 and 14 respectfully. Now, FDR served 12 years as president and created 12 Czars. Bush was president for 8 years and had 14. Not too-too dramatic of an increase. Keep reading….
Our current president have really accelerated the number of czars appointed AND over an extremely varying areas: Czar of Disinformation (filters information on the internet the President finds as being “disinformation” or information that is contradictory to his platform), Czar of Safe Schools, Auto Czar, Auto Recovery Czar, Bank Bailout Czar, Cyber Czar, Great Lakes Czar, Guantanamo Base Czar, Health Czar, Manufacturing Czar, and the list goes on. Obama has been in officer for 10 months and has appointed and created 32 Czar positions.
Let me remind you, these individuals have FULL unchecked authority in these areas. Also, they are not approved by any branch of government outside the president and not supervised by anyone BUT the president.
A NCAA Football Czar? Yes, that is what Spillman advocated today on SEC on CBS. I KID YOU NOT. It happened about 35 minutes ago and I do NOT have any video or transcript links yet. Spillman was upset over the differing punishments over two disciplinary issues involving Oregon and a player from Florida. Spillman then said, “That is why we need a czar for college football,” and Brando replied, “AMEN!”.
I’m paranoid he wants to take over stuff?
In Spencer Tillman’s article, dated 7.6.09, he criticized the BCS. Here is how he finished the story:
“In today’s communications and political climate legality isn’t enough. The BCS either will change or it will be done for them.”
Considering Tilman’s VERY liberal views, especially on race and NCAA Football, I wonder…hmm…I wonder who he voted for in 2008 and whose policies he supports?
